About this page

TrimHQ is a software platform operated by Kargo United Inc. that provides barbershops with online booking. Clients opt in to SMS during the online booking process on a barbershop's TrimHQ booking page.

This page documents the exact SMS opt-in shown to clients during booking on TrimHQ — what a client sees and agrees to when they opt in to text messages. You can see this opt-in live in our demo booking flow.

What the client sees

During booking, the client is shown the opt-in choice below. They must actively choose "Yes" or "No" to continue — neither option is pre-selected, and it is not a pre-checked box.

Appointment reminders & updates by text

I agree to receive text messages from [Barbershop Name] related to my visit, including appointment reminders, updates, and loyalty rewards. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.

At booking time, "[Barbershop Name]" is replaced with the name of the specific barbershop the client is booking with.

What you're agreeing to

If you choose "Yes, send me texts," you agree to receive text messages from the specific barbershop you booked with, sent via TrimHQ (Kargo United Inc.) on that barbershop's behalf.

Message types:

  • Appointment booking confirmations.
  • Appointment reminders (typically 24 hours and 2 hours before).
  • Loyalty reward notifications.

Frequency: Message frequency varies — typically 1–10 messages per month per active client.

Cost and consent: Consent is not a condition of booking; you can book without opting in. Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier's terms.

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
